Veel üks rongidega teostatud militaarlogistika operatsiooni näide. Seekord Ukraina vägede liikumine konfliktipiirkonda.
Yet another example of military logistics operations. This time Ukrainian forces on the move toward war theater.

Samal päeval väljus Lviv´s asuvast sõjaväebaasist kolonn Ukraina militaarsõidukeid "õppustele" ida poole.
On the same day large military convoy of Ukrainian forces began it´s journey to "exercises" to eastern part of the country. 


Lviv on populatsioonilt Ukraina suuruselt seitsmes linn ja asub üsna läänepiiri ääres, sealt on kasulik tehnikat transportida mööda raudteed kuna sihtmärk idapiiri ääres asub piisavalt kaugel ja suhteliselt aeglase sõjatehnika transport läbi riigi on kohmakas.

Lviv is 7th largest city in Ukraine and is located near western border, therefore it makes sense to transport military equipment throughout the country via railroad since destination point is far from origin point. Railroad transportation is much more convenient compared to slow and clumsy movement of military vehicles on the ground.

Praeguseks on Ukraina sündmuste eskaleerumise algusest möödunud peaaegu kuu aega. Kuigi Maidanil on rahutustes surnud palju inimesi, siis Krimmis ja muudes hõivatud piirkondades praegu veel sõjategevust ei toimu. See kummutab selgelt ühe rongiskeptikute peamise väite, et raudteed on kerge saboteerida - praeguseks oleks Baltikumil olnud piisavalt aega tagala kindlustamiseks. Ukrainas küll mingit saboteerimist praeguseni ei ole toimunud.
Almost a month has gone by since the beginning of escalation of the events in Ukraine. Although lots of people have died in riots on Maidan square, there has not been any active warfare in the Crimea or other eastern parts of Ukraine. This should cast doubts on one of the arguments of train skeptics who say that railroads do not carry any military significance because of ease of sabotage. There would have been enough time to send reinforcements via Rail Baltic to Baltic countries. At least until now, there is no signs of sabotaging railroads in Ukraine.
